1st Game Tomorrow!

T.I.G.E.Rrrrr.S. Fight Tigers. Fight Tigers. Fight. Fight. Fight!!

In honor of the first game of the year I will have to post in purple and orange! Am I excited, YES! Am I going, No! However, I will try to get back to Clemson as soon as possible in order to catch SOME of the game.

True Life: I need present a serious issue... the Clemson Paw. I have avoided any post about this because I want to be tactful in my approach and as sweet as possible - despite being passionate. Over a year ago I first noticed the "issue." I have seen the "issue" multiple times and unfortunately, I see it almost every morning on multiple cars on my way to work.

Cover your vehicle with ORANGE! Show your Clemson Pride, your Tiger Pride. Get flags, magnets, stickers, whatever you want to show your loyalty to the Tigers - I fully support the spirit! BUT if you're going to support your Tigers, please place the Paw in the CORRECT position/angle on your vehicle! I cannot tell you how annoying it is to see the paw with the hook (which means that it is a Clemson paw) perfectly perpendicular! Or even worse, to see the paw tilted to the 11 o'clock hour!

Let's understand some History: The Tiger Paw logo was introduced at a press conference on July 21, 1970, it was created by John Antonio and developed by Helen Weaver of Henderson Advertising in Greenville, South Carolina, from a mold of a Bengal Tiger in the St. Louis Zoo. The tell-tale hook at the bottom of the paw is a sign that this is the official licensed trademark for the university.

Now, I understand that no where in the history does it say it has to have a 1 o'clock tilt, but COME ON... there is a reason the entire town has them everywhere at that tilt! Plus, don't mess with 40 years of University History! It is painted on roads, buildings, books, diplomas, championship rings, Athletic uniforms and stickers at the 1 o'clock tilt! What makes people think that they can change the tilt?

Please show your Clemson Pride and support by properly using the Paw
Enjoy the game. Enjoy the huge family of Clemson! And... Go Tigers!
